Why families in the UAE send these gifts

Most of the families we coordinate for from the UAE fall into one of three groups. The first are Emiratis and GCC residents whose parents or relatives are travelling to Makkah for Umrah or Hajj from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, or Al Ain, and they want to send a wheelchair, Mushaf, or worship support gift to honour the journey. The second are families honouring a parent who has passed away with Sadaqah Jariyah — a Mushaf placed inside Masjid al-Haram, an Umrah Badal performed in their name, or ongoing water distribution outside the Haram. The third are families giving generously during Ramadan and Eid-ul-Adha, when Iftar meals for fasting worshippers and Qurbani in Makkah carry special weight in the Emirati tradition of generosity.

Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said: "When a person dies, all his deeds end except three: a Sadaqah Jariyah, knowledge from which others benefit, and a righteous child who supplicates for him" (Sahih Muslim 1631, Abu Hurayrah). For many UAE-based families, sending a gift on behalf of a parent at the Haramain is exactly this kind of continuing reward.

The gifts most often sent from the UAE

  • Umrah Badal performed in Makkah on behalf of a parent unable to travel or who has passed away
  • Qurbani in Makkah for Eid-ul-Adha, Aqeeqa, Dam, Fidyah, or Sadaqah
  • Mushaf gift handed to a worshipper inside Masjid al-Haram, often on behalf of a deceased parent
  • Wheelchair gift for an elderly parent on Hajj or Umrah, placed in the free wheelchair section near Masjid al-Haram
  • Water distribution to pilgrims outside the Haram in peak heat — popular year-round and during Hajj season
  • Iftar meals for fasting worshippers in Ramadan

How it works from the UAE

You order from anywhere in the Emirates at any time of day. Our team in Makkah and Madinah handles the rest. For most gifts the completion window is a few days to two weeks depending on category and season. Umrah Badal usually takes a few weeks. Qurbani during Eid happens on the assigned Eid days. We send written confirmation by email after each gift is distributed, and for Umrah Badal and Qurbani we share a short video or photo where it's practical.

Payment from the UAE

We accept all major UAE-issued cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, PayPal, and Amazon Pay. Your card is charged in AED, so you don't see foreign transaction fees from your bank. Checkout is processed through Shopify's secure system.

Common questions from UAE buyers

How long does the order take to process from the UAE?
A few business days for most gifts. Dubai is only 1 hour ahead of Makkah, so coordination happens within the same business day for most orders.

Can I send a gift for a parent in Pakistan, India, Egypt, or another country from the UAE?
Yes. You can order from the UAE for a parent anywhere in the world. The gift is distributed at the Haramain, not shipped to the parent. Add their name in the order notes as the intention.

Is this an Awqaf-registered service?
No. We are not registered with Awqaf as a UAE charity. We're a coordinated gifting service operated by Gifts For Haramain LLC. Read our Trust and Process page for the full explanation.
